And we didn't manage to get on. That not only meant that we had to wait for longer but that we were actually on our way to Dunkirk instead of Calais. But when we were finally able to get onto the 4pm ferry that was when we could relax again. When ever I go on a boat or ferry I immediately have to re-enact the seen from Titanic (just without the kissing) so that's just what me and Megan (vogue-and-whisper.blogspot.com) did!
By the time we got to the Dunkirk it was dark and we were just happy to be on our way to Disneyland. On the way down we had to pass Paris and thankfully because it was night time we could see the Eiffel Tower - all lit up! It was B-E-A-U-tiful! We reached the hotel at about 12am on Tuesday morning... that means that we had been travelling for about 16hrs. We were assigned to our block and it was called "Butch Cassidy". I felt like I was a real John Wayne film!
We woke up bright and early at 7am so that we could go and have a quick breakfast and head straight to the park as time was of the essence. The first ride we went on was the Mad Hatter Tea Cups and then I picked up enough courage to go on Space Mountain - that might not seem big but it was the biggest ride I had ever been on so I felt like I had achieved something great!
Once we'd been on some other rides it was time for us to leave to go to the seminar, but we couldn't resist stopping off in a queue to have a photo with Tigger and Eeyore. Also I couldn't resist not getting an autograph ;)
I'll spare you the details of the boring seminar but once it was done I was starving so we headed to the huge Mcdonalds. After we headed on back in. One of the most traumatic experiences of my life was having to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes to meet ONE princess - Belle! I was not happy because we all thought we were going to meet all of them :(
With that trauma over we went on further rides and watched the parade until it was then time to go to the workshop, which thankfully wasn't as boring as the seminar. We had the task of designing a new attraction. When we had all finished we headed back AGAIN into the park and watched the fireworks from the main street.
As a group we all headed to Planet Hollywood restaurant where I had the BBQ chicken burger and it was lovely! I was rather disappointed by the fact I didn't get to see Leonardo DiCaprio's outfit from the Titanic :(
On Wednesday 19th February we went into the Disney Village bright and early again and went shopping where we all did quite a lot of damage... oops!
Finally after the last seminar we had our lunch in "Annette's Diner" and then caught the coach to go home.
